This group has developed several platforms for biochemical analyses, including isotope ratio mass spectrometry, gas chromatography mass spectrometry, fluorescence, UV and ECD detector HPLC, ELISA, random access analyzer for clinical biochemistry, coulter counter, turbidimetry, chemiluminescence based assays etc. There are other laboratories that are run by the core group for the use of specific research groups; these are described under each research group. Further, the core laboratories also look after a 2500 sq foot bio-repository for the efficient and safe archival and retrieval of biological samples at -80C or in liquid nitrogen.
